Sunday, March 30, 1969, at a regatta hosted by the US Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD. This Yard Patrol Boat was used as the race committee boat for the regatta. On Saturday every time the Navy team had a poor start there was a general recall. In the wee hours of Sunday morning one of the Kings Point sailors went aboard and raised an appropriate signal.
Note: this was also the weekend that Dwight Eisenhower had died.
