My house and neighborhood after the Blizzard of '09. I'd worked 18 hours as the electric tility rep at the County Emergency Operations Center..... then had to shovel for an hour just to get my truck into the driveway! Official snowfall was 26 inches measured at Upton. So.... what did I accomplish in 18 hours at that EOC??? Not much!!! Snow rarely has any significant effect on the electric system. The exception wold be heavy wet snow with no wind (snow build up on tree limbs takes them down onto the wires, wet snow build up on transformer bushings shorts them out)
